What would I miss most?

Let me start off with a heartfelt THANK YOU to all our troops. You are the finest of Americans and I am as proud of you as I can imagine being for anyone. I often try to think about what I would miss most if I were overseas and I know it is a question which you get asked a lot. Certainly family would top the list. I have heard that just being able to drive down the road and get a cheesburger whenever you wanted is a common theme (insert pizza, hot dog or brat of course). I think I would miss all those things too. But I think I would also miss Wisconsin a lot. Not just becuase it is home, but because of what a beautiful home it is. Those of you who are from Wisconsin know what I am talking about. Personally, of the many sights to see and things to do in this great state, I prefer to be in, on, around, above, or under the water (as long as I can hold my breath). Topping the list of water-bourne activities for me is fishing, a passion which I know is shared among many Wisconsinites and I suspect, many Wisconsin troops. My weekly contribution to follow will be pictures from this great state of water scenes and hopefully some fishing news. I may use pictures and fishing news from this past summer as getting out around the holidays and before ice-up can be tough, but it is my hope that you can carry some of these reminders with you. And hopefully you can replace some of the more scary and horrible images you may carry around with you from your service to our country. Please be safe and come home soon.
