MILWAUKEE - Summerfest 2013 has begun.  So has the process of getting musicians to play Summerfest 2014.

"We're starting now to put next year together," said Summerfest Vice President of entertainment Bob Babisch.

"We are working on '14 already.  It's a process that keeps going."

Babisch explained that they've begun securing acts for the Marcus Amphitheater shows.

"We'll start the ground stages up in August."

He told TODAY'S TMJ4's Steve Chamraz and Courtny Gerrish that the nature of the music industry today is making it easier to find bands who want to play in front of up to 12,000 on side stages and 23,000 at the Marcus Amphitheater.

"It means more acts want to work, which is a good thing to have out there.  When they look at a venue like ours...they get a lot of people seeing their show, buying their (merchandise), going to their web site.  It helps them."
