The NCAA Tournament is just about to begin so it's time for a few WSW picks.  Even though the Tar Heels are banged up (Ty Lawson will not play this afternoon), I've got to stick to my guns and pick the team I've felt was the best all along.  So I have North Carolina winning it all.  The Tar Heels will face Louisville in the title game with Memphis and Villanova as the other Final Four participants.  Pittsburgh has a solid team but if the referees call it tight the Panthers will be in trouble, so I have Villanova knocking off Pitt in the Elite Eight.

As far as the upset specials, I like a pair of 12 seeds in Northern Iowa and Western Kentucky.  Also, keep an eye on North Dakota State.  The Bison do not fear bigger opponents and Kansas had a recent history of first round exits prior to winning it all last year (don't forget, UCLA fell in the first round as defending champs in 1996.)  VCU and Temple are a pair of intriguing 11 seeds.  Both UCLA and Arizona State had to travel across country and sometimes travel can take a toll on a team this time of year.
