Early Thursday BracketeeringBy Jeff FalconioAll the major conference tournaments get underway today and already there are some stories developing. Baylor's upset win over Kansas presents two issues. One, it adds to the debate that three Big East schools will be number one seeds. Let's wait to see how it plays out in New York but now there's little chance the Jayhawks will be a number one. The second issue is with the win Baylor advances to the semifinals. Two more wins and the Bears will steal a bid away by winning the Big XII.
Speaking of the Big XII, despite last night's loss Texas A&M is still a tournament team. The Aggies are better off than most bubble teams in terms of their record and RPI. The same cannot be said for Northwestern, who lost to Minnesota earlier today. That should end the talk of Northwestern being a possible at-large team.
