But protecting this season is precisely why I'm not entirely thrilled that Brett is on the cover.
Ever hear of the Sports Illustrated cover jinx?
I'm not one to believe in curses or jinxes or other sorts of sports hokum, but far too many athletes who graced SI's cover immediately suffered injury, defeat, or, in a unfortunate few cases, far worse. So forgive me if I'll be clutching my lucky rabbit's foot extra tightly for the next few weeks.
Then again, it could be worse. Favre could be on the cover of the new Madden. Yes, there really is a site called MaddenJinx.com. Most Popular |
