I know I am.  So much so that I talked with one of the producers of Madden NFL '08, which will (if you believe the hype) cure cancer when it's released on Tuesday.  It may never top Tecmo Bowl as my pick for best. football game. ever. but the Madden series has revolutionized sports gaming and is a bona fide phenomenon. 

My favorite feature of the '08 edition?  The ability to design your own Super Bowl ring and then buy it from Josten's for the low, low price of just $149.  If you want real precious stones and if you want real precious stones in it, because if you have that kind of money to blow on a video game championship ring you probably do, you can shell out upwards of $400 for one.
