How About This One, Folks?

By Dan O'Donnell

The Brewers apparently have the fewest add-ons to the price of tickets of any team in Major League Baseball.  Hardballtimes.com says:

"The best bang for the buck is easily the Milwaukee Brewers.  They've got a great young team, and it's three bucks cheaper than an average squad."

Darn tootin'.  Just $3.25 is added on to the price of each ticket, compared with $11.00(!) added to the price of a Red Sox ticket.  Hey, somebody's gotta pay Ortiz and Man-Ram's salaries!

And for the record, what the heck is a "convenience fee?"  Is there anything at all convenient about having to give Ticketmaster an extra four bucks for printing out my Dave Matthews tickets?  Thanks, I never could have done that myself, since it's far too inconvenient for me to turn on my printer and click "Print Tickets Now."  Ticketmaster, saving the world from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (and conveniently pocketing an extra four bucks a ticket in the process).
