Desmond's Back!By Dan O'Donnell...And now we might be able to wash the taste of the somewhat-less-than-glorious Jamaal Magloire era out of our mouths. Easily the worst move of the Larry Harris era (at least unil he drafted a guy who wouldn't even let the Bucks watch him work out), Mason and a 2006 first-rounder for Magloire was a bust from the start.
I realize it's easy to criticize a deal two years afterwards and, yes, I was excited then at the prospect of having a legitimate big man in a Bucks uniform for the first time since Bob Lanier (or at least Marty Conlon). But the Big Cat was a Big Dud, and the Bucks had lost a fan favorite and spark plug who worked great with Mo Williams and Michael Redd on the fast break.
That, though, is why pencils have erasers, and the second Desmond Mason era is about to begin. Bravo, Larry Harris, bravo. Most Popular |
