MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Brewers' main starting second baseman will need up to half a year to get past a hamstring injury that ended his season earlier this month.
As reported by Journal Sentinel beat writer and 620WTMJ Brewers 360 contributor Tom Haudricourt:
#Brewers announce 2B Rickie Weeks had surgery on torn left hamstring by James Andrews. Expected recovery time is 4-6 months.— Tom (@Haudricourt) August 15, 2013
As said by MLB.com's Adam McCalvy:
That timetable has Weeks back to 100 pct. anywhere from mid-Dec. to mid-Feb. Either way, should be ready for Spring Training.— Adam McCalvy (@AdamMcCalvy) August 15, 2013
