Famous Racing Sausages 5K sold out
MILWAUKEE - The Famous Racing Sausages 5K race has sold out, for the fifth year in a row.
The race is put on by the Brewers Community Foundation, and will celebrate their 15th anniversary this year. There were 4,000 openings for runners and walkers, and all slots have now been filled up.
"The unique feature of this event is that participants actually get to test their skills against the Klement’s Famous Racing Sausages, who also run the course," according to the Brewers. "The run will begin and end at the Klement’s Sausage Haus where the Brat, Hot Dog, Chorizo, Italian Sausage and Polish Sausage join the crowd on the course. The route also makes its way around the warning track of Miller Park."
The race will take place July 20 at Miller Park, at 8:00 a.m. for runners, and 8:15 a.m. for walkers.
This year, Brewers Community Foundation has a fundraising component with all proceeds going towards Fisher House Wisconsin. Fundraising is still available online through July 19 by going to www.brewers.com/5krunwalk.
