MILWAUKEE- The Milwaukee Brewers are asking fans to join them as Miller Park will "Go Gold" on Saturday, September 10th as the Brewers will be wearing special gold jerseys against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Brewers fans can pick up their Brewers gold gear starting on Tuesday which features several popular "name and number" player T-shirts and a special Nyjer Morgan shirt featuring his popular signoff "Ahhhh...Gotta Go!"
Former Brewers great Gorman Thomas joined TODAY'S TMJ4 to talk about the "Go Gold" message as well as this year's Brewers team.
Thomas says it's an exciting time for Brewers fans and that they have been supportive all year long.
He added that people could panicked after the Brewers started slow out of the gate, but the Brewers have given more than enough reasons to stay around.
He cites their 2nd half surge as well as playing hard-nose and good quality baseball this year.
Additionally, he cites their unselfishness and ability to get clutch hits when needed to win games.
Thomas says the Brewers need to play their normal way to make and succed in the playoffs this season.
Also, he talked about this Brewers team needing to stay focused so they can try and catch the Phillies for home field advantage throughout the entire playoffs.
