Here’s a few notes to describe the first half of this Packers / Vikings match-up;
* Shame on those Packers fans who sold their tickets. Vikings fans everywhere.
* Packers fans made Lambeau a difficult place to play for about 5 minutes then sat on their hands.
* Shotgun – Can Mike McCarthy run anything else on 3rd down?
* Johnny Jolly – Stupid penalty that cost the Packers 4 points for sure.
* Vikings = 4 sacks / Packers = 0 Sacks
* Packers = 4 Penalties / Vikings = 0 Penalties
* Rodgers had a chance to run for a 1st down, took the sack instead. Rodgers is off target a bit as well. Receivers aren’t open and protection is inconsistent. Only 18 passing yards for Rodgers!!
* Special Teams, awful!
That should pretty much sum it up. If I’m McCarthy, I’m heading down the tunnel, out to the parking lot and straight to church to drop to my knees and thank the Lord above that my team’s only down 17-3 at the half.

I'm thinking Rodgers will retire this year, so the train can leave the station, before his career is ended with injuries. Loved MM post game comment, Packers will be preparing for their next game. Their playing, the Tampa Bay Bucks..this is a football,lets win. LMAO xpacker fan of 40 years, thought pigs would fly first, Viking and BRETT fan

Larry you are absolutely right when you see a guy like harvin have that big of an immediate impact on special teams and on offense it jut amazes me that TT choose to draft Raji and don't even get me going on justin harrell that is the biggest joke of all time.

I am excited - maybe we can shoot for another premier 1st round draft pick like Harrell or Raji who are true 'impact' players like Harvin. Go scouts for your wonderful talent assessments and TT for being a penny pinching idiot! MM for coach of the year!

I've been a Packer fan since 1964 and lived through the glory years and then all the less than glorious years until Ron Wolfe, Mike Holmgren and Brett Favre made Packer football exciting again. We are right back where we were with Lindy Infante, Bart Starr, Forrest Greg, Dan Devine and all the other coaches we had for 20 years. We had nothing to cheer about but we stayed Packer fans and never missed watching a game. Clean house and let's start over and I will still always love Brett!

What a game by Favre it was a blast to see him playing like a kid again! The vikes looked tough and the packers sucked plain and simple... yes they made it interesting in the second half but I think we all knew it was over. MM and TT are garbage and need to be gone, MM can't even keep his players diciplined and not committing penalites. Favre showed why is the greatest QB ever and to all the packer fans who had the fake funeral well I'd say he is ALIVE AND VERY WELL!!!!

Ted Thompson, and the team he has assembled, is a joke. He needs to be fired ... or at least he needs to get MM to stop saying we will 'clean up' the penalties. Maybe the Packers board should step in and 'CLEAN UP' everything ... TT, MM and Dom Capers, who is now the proud owner of an 0 - 8 record against Brett.

Aaron - Granted you only have two picks on the year and we appreciate the fact that you don't just gunsling int's at inopportune times, but GET RID OF THE BALL! Are you waiting for the receivers to be 5 yards open? UNREAL. Where were the short, quick hit type passes in the first half? We were looking for the big play on every pass play and we're making Jared Allen a Hall of Famer!! We need O linemen. no more stiffs. - and a new coach/gm. HOLMGREN round 2?? PLEASE??

I can NOT believe the BONEHEAD plays this team makes. Jolly"s headbutt when we have them stopped, offsides on another FG attept on 4th down that they end up getting the TD on 4th and 1. There is 14 pts rather than 6! NO DISCIPLINE AT ALL! We cause theirlineman to fumble the kickoff, then we score at TD to get back in the game and we decide to kick it away to Harvin again?!? WE ARE DUMB. All momentum right back to the Vikings. McCarthy-you need to go. Where was the pressure on Favre??

Unit: I am so sick and tired of your anti-Favre bias. Pregame, post-game, sports talk during the week...bash, rip, crap all over Brett. He's one of the greatest QB's of all time, holds most all meaningful QB records and virtually all we hear from you is the same garbage. You obviously don't tire of talking negative about Favre, but many of his and your fans are tired of listening to you consistently talk like that. Try celebrating Brett. At 40, he's playing at a high level. We'll be listening

Packers only got back into this game because a stupid Defensive End decided he wanted to be a kickoff returner. Without that fumble the Packers were done at 24-6 late in the 3rd.

Someone should be calling Mike Holmgren and ask him what are the current problems with the Packers. I bet he would say, 1, you let go the greatest QB, 2 didn't resigne Rivera and Wahle, 3, didn't acquire Randy Moss, 4 didn't put the fear of the Lord inside each player, no disicpline

CAN WE GET A NEW GM SOON? Five years, and still no offensive line worth a darn. VIkings draft Peterson and Harvin. We get Jordy Nelson and Justin Harell's little brother, injured BJ Raji. Vikings active in free agecny - Favre and Jered Allen. Packers? Nobody of note since Woodson five years ago. Still the youngest team in the leagues, committing dumb penalties. Thanks, Johnyy Jolly. Can we get a new GM soon?

We have been out coached and out managed. We need some additional talent and we need someone that knows how to recognize it. We need to have the coach to prepare and call the game based on the talent he has and not based on his typical west coach mentality.

The Three Stooges have to go. Murphy, Thompson and McCarthy. Honestly, what does Mark Murphy do? Thompson should feel good that a 40-year-old future Hall of Famer that he traded away has beat his team twice this year. Having the youngest team for the fourth consecutive year has paid it's dividends. So much for saving money. As a shareholder, I am proud of this management team! McCarthy, great game preparation and game plan!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why is Tauscher on the sidelines? Where is the Packer D? Why isn't Kampman playing on the D-Line? I'm beginning to question McCarthy's commitment to protecting Rodgers and winning football games. If you can't win at home (where you're supposed to have the advantage), perhaps the organization needs to look for coaches that are committed to winning (physically and emotionally) rather than coaches committed to being conservative. The Pack needs to get their nasty, dominating identity back!

How does a highly paid group of NFL coaches and players play EXACTLY the same game they played in Minnesota? What is going on in Green Bay? How do the shareholders convince management to salvage 2009???
