Deanna Favre (L) took time to pose with a Vikings fan
who had a special message for the Packers GM Ted Thompson.
Revenge....nah, that had nothing to do with it.
I love my Packers, but todays game shows it is time to rid this team of it current GM for more reasons then the Favre issue. The man has made some sound decisions but his inability to put together the full package is the problem. Show him the door.

As a Bears fan this is great! Hilarious! Lets hope that Nov 1st has better results. I can't stand the Viqueens. I will be rooting for the Pack again when they play MN.
We retire Brett's number on November 1st at halftime with a HUGE ceremony. Videos, trophies, shadowboxes, the works. The we UNRETIRE it on November 6th, assign it to the punter and let Brett retire as a Minnesota Viking. One championship in 16 years is not that special. Viking fans must be patient, he will break your hearts when it counts too.
Isn't it funny on how all you Favre haters have all jumped on the bandwagon and are now in love with #4? Maybe things weren't handled well on both sides when Brett left, but at least we pkrbkrs aren't hypocrits!! Who gets the trophy for the most whining--Vikings fans always-who are you kidding?? I will always support the Pack. We'll see who chokes in the end. We supported and respected Favres for a long time--not anymore--they don't care about their fans-you'll see. Enjoy while it you can.
Analysts agree GB made the right move cutting Favre. Favre did a lot for GB and GB did a lot for Favre. 2 of Favre's last 3 seasons with GB were sub-par (by Favre-ian standards) and it appeared the end was near. GB had an heir apparent in Rodgers - who might not have stuck around much longer holding Brett's tiara between balls (balls as in dances-it's a metaphor). GB looked good in the Pre-Season but struggle now. The Vikings often start good and ALWAYS SUCK later. 11 games to go! This is fun!
Huh? Paul Harvey? Was that some kind of an attempt at an insult? That might have been funny had I said "And that's the rest of the story". The only reason I brought up Favre's early years is because so many people love to remind us all what Favre did for Green Bay, when the Packers did just as much, if not more, for him. He'd have been nothing without Green Bay - a drunken waste of that amazing talent lost forever in obscurity somewhere like Atlanta.
Mark: Instead of bringing up Bret's past why don't you address the real problem Paul Harvey! Thompson / McCarthy / Murphy must GO! Enough is enough! How have their draft picks performed? Aj Hawk is another issue! The train has left the station! Do I need to say more! I know where GB wil be come playoffs! Sitting watchin and wishin!
Brett keeps telling Packers fans to move on and many us would like to, yet he and his family seem to take delight in taking every shot they can at the Packers. So who truly needs to move on.
And to all of you who constantly proclaim what Favre did for Green Bay - what about what Green Bay did for Favre? Especially very early in his interception prone, alcoholic, Vicodin addicted career. Does anyone remember those years and how well the team handled it? That whole road runs both ways......
Moveonbill-- Everyone but the Packer fans and the TMJ staff have moved on-- let it go. If you are happy with the Aaron Rodgers and the MM & TT era - so be it. Lets see where everyone will be come Superbowl - I do not begrudge Brett one bit -- nor should anyone else. LET IT GO AND MAY THE BEST TEAM WIN
To Bill: Here is one thing to remember! First of all sounds like you are a little disgruntled! And as the saying goes in Northern Wisconsin. If ifs & buts were candy and nuts every day would be Christmas! Ted & Mike hit the road! I hope that Detroit comes in and cleans there clock! I wonder what color pen MM will have in his cap this time? This guy is NOT a motivator and must go! As he said to Brett the train has left the station! Its to bad! Ted & Mike should of been on that train!
Brett had a good game and has had a good season so far. Jet's fans remember it well. There are a lot of games left and the Vikings are known to choke...hang on for Nov 1!
Finally Ted & Mike get a piece of reality! Brett u r the man! I have been a fan of yours for years! Its nice to c u with a team that has a line and running back! Oh what a shame the Packers lose one offensive lineman and they need to change three positions and they still have no line! Brett all I can say is GO FOR THE THROAT! Like you did in the fourth qtr! You don't know how bad I wanted that bomb to be completed and stick it to Mike & Ted! U will get another chance! STICK IT TO THEM!

Vince Lombardi retired from the Packers and a year later unretired to coach Washington. So he must be a jerk and or a traitor too. I say (ThanksTed Too), because if Brett had come back to the Pack he'd probably would be in a hospital bt now with Ted Thompsons cheap deffence.
Folks lets all remember that we were one play away from the Super Bowl when the fabulous one threw the picks. He couldn't play in the cold any longer that why he's in a dome. Why did he not chose the Bears? When the Vikes choke again the fabulous one will do the choking.
I wonder how many of you who hate Favre for his indecisiveness in regards to his retirement/non-retirement and traitorism toward the Packers are rooting for Mark retiring/non-retiring team-switching ford-ditching Martin to win the NEXTEL Cup?
Who gets rid of a Hall of Fame QB? Do you think they grow on trees Ted?? So what he was going to retire--did the Bulls tell Jordan the train left the station--NO of course not!! Favre should be in the green and gold, but Ted didn't want it that way so he deserves to play and obviously he is still great!!
Brett - "Ted, I want to come back. I made a mistake by retiring."
Ted - "Brett, we've moved on. Didn't you see that I drafted a QB in the 2nd round? Brian Brohm is the real deal Brett. I need to make sure McCarthy get him playing time behind Rodgers."

Ted - "Hey, thanks for those things. But Choo-Choo... the train has left the station!... he he I love that one!"

A bit childish, Deanna, no? Gump could have stayed with the Jets and have done ok, too. Why not? The Big Shot in the Big Show?
Bart Starr would never have played for the Bears, the Packers most hated rival at the time.
Brent Gump--NFL Hall of Fame 2015. Packers Hall of Fame 2050.
Favre didn't want to play for the Pack because McCarty held him accountable for his actions on the field, Sherman let him do what ever he wanted, he couldn't under McCarty. Plus why does a guy in his late 30's a first ballot hall of famer need to be told he is wanted? What a diva!
As a diehard Packers fan,it's hard to not root for a guy who has been synonymous with the Packers for so many years. But for people to say that Favre playing for the Vikings isn't about "revenge"-they are seriously kidding themselves! And for Packer fans to now root for the Vikings and Favre-please don't call yourselves Packer fans.Because if you were, you would stay true to the Pack.

Remember folks, the Packers told Brett they had moved on, and playing for them was no longer an option. In fact, they sent Mark Murphy to Mississippi to bribe him not to play at all. How "classy" was that move! If they didn't want him, then let him go!
In the days of Mike Sherman, Farve (F) was getting 3-time MVP treatment. Sherman is replaced by Ted Thompson (TT) and Mike McCarthy.
