The Vietnam Moving Wall

By Bill Michaels

The moving Vietnam Wall made an appearance at Milwaukee Harley Davidson this past weekend.  To anyone who's ever witnessed the wall, you know the emotions that stir within when you actually see the names, the faces of those who visit, the stories of the survivors and the realization of the passion of the era.  Whatever your political affiliation, your thoughts regarding war, conflict......you should never forget those who served.  I know, after experiencing the wall, I never will.

The wall.....hard to believe it's as big as it is and it's still a "moving" wall

The names begin with the very first soldier killied.....
and unfortunately extends as the casualties grew

Those who want to know more,
get the details of the wall from a traveling historian

Patriot riders still attend the funerals of the fallen

Bikers, vets, observers gather for a ceremony

One solemn moment

A fallen Wisconsin soldier remembered.....never forgotten

Crowds continue to come by.....and remember

HD has always supported the vets

A rememberance ceremony begins

He lost his arm, was losing blood, close to death......
and still kept his gun and defended his platoon

Young and old....respect and honor

The honor guard stands at the ready

The 21 Gun Salute

A look around....
