Monitor The Next 15 Games Because.....By Bill MichaelsThe Brewers were schooled by a more experienced team with a more experienced manager. The Cubs, number 1 in walks in the majors, worked the counts of the Brewers aces and played small ball, long ball, wining ball vs. their northern rivals.
While the Brewers youth was choking in the field, hacking at the plate, falling behind in the count on the mound, running themselves our of innings on the basepaths and seemingly overmatched, their big city rivals were watching them falter by their own ineptness. For those who would love to see manager Ned Yost fired, this upcoming stretch (12 of 15 games on the road) will certainly be the gauntlet that could determine just that. These games are predominantly against sub .500 ball clubs as well meaning that the Brewers aren’t facing teams that should beat.
