The Brewers were schooled by a more experienced team with a more experienced manager. The Cubs, number 1 in walks in the majors, worked the counts of the Brewers aces and played small ball, long ball, wining ball vs. their northern rivals.

While the Brewers youth was choking in the field, hacking at the plate, falling behind in the count on the mound, running themselves our of innings on the basepaths and seemingly overmatched, their big city rivals were watching them falter by their own ineptness.
For those who would love to see manager Ned Yost fired, this upcoming stretch (12 of 15 games on the road) will certainly be the gauntlet that could determine just that. These games are predominantly against sub .500 ball clubs as well meaning that the Brewers aren’t facing teams that should beat.

After watching the pudgy vegetarian meltdown late in the ballgame Thursday, Ned Yost needs to garner composure and move forward such as they did after being swept by
Boston
earlier in the season. If the Brewers don’t rebound in a big way, and gain ground on the Cubs, you can point a finger back to this particular stretch as the “straw that broke the camel’s back” for Ned Yost’s managerial job.
