CONVERT MORE THAN ONE THIRD DOWN! One of 10 vs. Houston, with the one coming midway through the fourth quarer via Ryan Grant, is not going to get it done. On another vein, Tony Moll could be the right tackle of the future. So far, he's been nothing more than a journeyman in his three years.

Playmakers on the ground. The receivers are nothing to fear, so you worry about Maurice Jones-Drew and David Garrard making plays with their feet. The Jaguars are 4-0 when they run the ball 35 or more times, and with Fred Taylor out for the season, if Jones-Drew has his tongue hanging on the ground at the end of the game, look out!

Green Bay 30, Jacksonville 23. I can't believe I'm on a two-game losing streak. I'm 7-6, two games better than the Packers, but still nothing to be proud of. Anyone who says they have a pulse on this team is lying, so the score above is my guess because Jacksonville started mailing it in two weeks ago.

Finish drives when it counts. The inability to score at the end of the second and fourth quarters cost the Packers last week. This should be another clsoe game, so the Packers need to protect the football and be more efficient inside the 30 yard line.
Stop Maurice Jones-Drew. MJD has 19 receptions in the last three games, so he can hurt you by running and catching out of the backfield. Jacksonville is still a physical team, and with Fred Taylor out for the year, expect a steady diet of MJD.
Green Bay 24, Jacksonville 20. Jacksonville is just going through the motions now, and with the injuries and off-field distractions, the Packers have a chance to score a road win against a team that has thrown in the towel.

Run to the left. Over the last two weeks, Chad Clifton has been very tough in run blocking, and the Packers have very seldom run to that side.
Jam the middle Too many yards are given up between the tackles. That's never acceptable.
Green Bay 27, Jacksonville 24. Ryan Grant and the running game will eat up the clock, and Greg Jennings and Donald Driver will have a field day.

Try to score more points than the other team.
Try to prevent Jacksonville from scoring.
Green Bay 24, Jacksonville 18. IThe team the scores the most points will likely win the game. I'm not trying to be cute here. I'm just saying the Packers need to get back to the basics. Score early, hold a lead, and gain some confidence in the ability to close a game out. I'll say the Packers win because a sub.-500 season is staring them right in the face.

More Rodgers, less Grant. The run game has come around and Ryan Grant looks stronger as the season has progressed, but without Tauscher, I think you'll see Rodgers, in good weather, throw the ball a bit more than he has in recent weeks. Look for Rodgers to throw the ball 28-35 times and Grant to get 17 to 24 carries. I think you'll also see more of Brandon Jackson in this one as well. Focus on Tony Moll and how he handles his first start in a while.

Injury-ravaged run defense. Fred Taylor is out for the rest of the season, so that Packers run defense doesn't necessarily have to worry about him, but let's be honest, you can put anyone in the backfield and the Packers will struggle to stop the run. Pickett has been sick most of the week and has missed practice, Woodson's still starting at safety, Bigby's out, Hawk looks awful, Chillar's nursing a bad hammy...this one's looking to be a wreched shootout.
Green Bay 31, Jacksonville 21. The Packers get the win because they simply need it more, and Jacksonville's imploding within the locker room.

Driver and Jennings vs. Drayton Florence and Brian Williams. What is this, Florence Henderson and the anchor of the NBC Nightly News playing in the NFL? Of course, I'm kidding, but this game should have #80 and #85 eating these guys for lunch. Rodgers has got to go deep and wide all day and get productivity out of the passing game, because I'm not sure they'll not have much of a time-of-possession advantage.
The reason Rodgers must go deep and get points from the passing game is... Maurice Jones-Drew will probably get 30-plus carries and the Jags will have the ball for about 35 minutes, and seeing the Packers' defense looking more like a St. Vincent's Hospital ward, both with the injury report and with how bad they played against Houston, it looks scary. Jones-Drew might reach 150 yards or more, even with eight in the box.
Green Bay 34, Jacksonville 28. For the first time, Aaron Rodgers will produce a late-game comeback win, a TD throw to one of those wide receivers who should own Mrs. Brady Bunch and Tom Brokaw's replacement.

Just keep fighting. This is as good a chance to quit on the season as ever, but also a great chance to show the Packers still have some fight left in them.
Wrap up!. Jones-Drew is one of the toughest guys to bring down. If the Packers can tackle well, they can neutralize the Jaguars' only real weapon.
Somebody. My record stinks when it comes to predicting the outcome, so I'm going with "somebody will win" with a lean towards the Packers.
