The Green Bay Packers have fallen to 4-5, one game behind their two biggest rivals, the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings, in the NFC North standings, as they enter Sunday's showdown with the Bears at Lambeau Field.

With the team one loss from doubling their loss total from 2007, fans and some media are pushing the panic button.

Not the team's starting quarterback.

"At this point, nobody in the locker room has lost confidence in our ability to get the job done," said Packers QB Aaron Rodgers on Newsradio 620 WTMJ's "Wisconsin's Morning News."

"We feel very confident that all we need to do is put a big game under our belt and get into a rhythm. There's a lot of season left, and we still feel that we can accomplish the goals we've set forth at the beginning of the season."

Falling to a sub-.500 mark to start the second half of the season wasn't one of those goals. The way they got three, in three of the five losses, came in a debilitating manner - by a combined seven points.

"We have been competitive," states Rodgers.

"We haven't played as well as we've wanted to at times in some games, but we've got a chance, at least in every one of our losses, to pull it out. Unfortunately, we haven't, for one reason or another."

That includes Sunday's 28-27 loss to Minnesota.

Seven days after that comes the team's next challenge - the team tied with the Vikings for the division lead.

"It's a big test for us, but it's a good opportunity for us as well," said Rodgers.

"We're one game down in the division. We have a chance to pull even with Chicago, and Minnesota has a tough game with Tampa (Bay). If we take care of business, we feel confident we could be in a three-way deadlock at the end of this weekend."

How is Rodgers' shoulder faring after a beat-down by the fearsome Vikings pass rush, including a pair of safeties among four sacks?

"I'm doing well," states Rodgers.

"Really, after the game, the mental part was a lot worse than the physical part. I was disappointed, not being able to pull that one out. Physically, I did take a pounding from time to time. I just have to do the treatment and get ready to go again.

"I try to stay stable with it as much as possible. The shoulder is what it is. It's really not an issue except for my practice schedule."

Rodgers has had limited throwing time in practice, even sitting out some Friday sessions.

"Obviously, I'd love to be out there at practice as much as possible, but we're just trying to do the best things to have me go on Sunday."
