Cheeseheads in China: Bucks StyleMILWAUKEE (AP) -- Just a few months after the Bucks traded Chinese basketball star Yi Jianlian, the team will head to China for two preseason games. The Bucks announced Wednesday they will play the Golden State Warriors in Guangzhou on Oct. 15 and Beijing on Oct. 17. The team says the game in Guangzhou will be the first NBA event there. The Bucks also have a first in Beijing, where their game will be the first sporting event held at the Beijing Olympic Basketball Arena following the summer games. Both games will be televised in the U.S. and China. The trip marks the first time the Bucks will play outside the continental United States since a 1972 exhibition game against the Phoenix Suns in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
