Yost: 'Weeks Still the Starter'

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Despite trading for veteran left-handed batter Ray Durham, Brewers manager Ned Yost says Rickie Weeks is still his number one second baseman.

The 36-year-old Durham is a switch-hitter who will provide experience off the bench and an alternative to Weeks.

Durham joined his new teammates on their charter flight to St. Louis where the Brewers will play a four-game set before returning to Milwaukee to play Houston this weekend.

Durham is batting .293 with three homers and 32 RBI in 87 games.

Milwaukee picked up Durham from the San Francisco Giants for two minor leaguers as the Brewers look to get back to the postseason for the first time since losing the 1982 World Series.
