Fred Keeps The Funk on PGA Tour

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Fred Funk has an interesting dilemma. For the past two years he's been old enough for the Champions Tour but he still wants to compete on the PGA Tour.

Which does he choose? He hasn't decided, yet.

Funk shot 3-under par 67 in the second round of Milwaukee's U.S. Bank Championship today but he still missed the cut by one stroke with a two-day total of 139.

Still, he says that when he's playing well he can still compete on the tour.

Funk turned 50 on June 14th, 2006. He started 2007 strong and quickly won events on both tours.

He won the Turtle Bay Championship in his second start on the Champions Tour.

He followed that up with his eighth PGA Tour victory, winning the Mayakoba Golf Classic at Riviera Maya-Cancun.

Craig Stadler is the other player to win in the same season on both tours.

He's had injury problems since then, and today's outcome might have made his choice a little clearer.

He missed the cut for the sixth time in the last eight PGA Tour events. He's played eight times on the Champions Tour this year and made the cut each time.
