GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- The high-profile dispute between Brett Favre and the Packers apparently won't stop him from presenting longtime teammate Frank Winters at the team's Hall of Fame induction banquet Saturday evening.

Hall vice president Dennis Tattum said Tuesday that officials had been in contact with Winters and were assured Favre will be there.

He says there wasn't much concern because the two were such close friends as well as teammates, with Favre at quarterback and Winters at center.

Winters retired after the 2002 season. Favre announced his retirement in March but now says he wants to play.

According to a media advisory, presenters will make statements about the inductees but won't field questions.

Also being inducted are defensive tackle Gilbert Brown and longtime video director Al Treml.
