Packers Say No to BeaverMADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Justin Beaver has been informed he will not be one of the three tryout players that the Packers plan to sign after the post-draft rookie orientation camp. The 5-foot-7, 191-pound Beaver who was the Division III player of the year last season from national champion Wisconsin-Whitewater may still have a chance to catch on in Green Bay. The Packers still have an open roster spot, and the NFL's spring owners meeting begins May 19. At the meeting, the league will consider expanding team rosters from 80 to 86, which could net Beaver a contract. ------ Information from: Wisconsin State Journal, http://www.madison.com/wsj (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press.
