(AP) -- Mark Murphy says his family is transitioning and it's hectic. He's more than a week away from taking over as president and chief executive officer of the Green Bay Packers. He's leaving his job as athletic director at Northwestern University and says it's a busy time, especially with the holidays. He says his family still has to buy a house -- and they're looking at De Pere. He says his wife started the house hunt before his hiring was announced. She used her maiden name, Laurie Young, but doctored it up a bit to say she was a doctor. Murphy says she's not a doctor of anything. He says his daughter Anna will enroll at Green Bay Notre Dame as a junior. There are three other children in the family as well. He says this year's Christmas will involve a lot of green and gold gifts. Murphy says he and his daughter Anna will attend Sunday's game against the Bears at Soldier Field. He starts his new job January 2nd. Information from: The Post-Crescent, http://www.postcrescent.com (Copyright 2007 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
