Ready to rise is the theme of your team, your town, Milwaukee Bucks. What feats this team will rise to seems to be that the Bucks are ready to rise above winning 30 games but beyond that this team looks more of the same. The next commercial should sub out new GM, new point guard, and new star for same old not playing tough defense, same old committing turnovers, same old ways to lose games.
What might be different this year is instead of getting everyone's, wait wrong word, I meant someone that actually cares about this team's hopes up early only to be dashed by injuries, this team should be able to finish strong. It is going to take time for some guys to actually warm up to the idea that you have to play defense to play for Scott Skiles Plus, it is tough to develop chemistry when talent around these parts comes and goes like Christmas. Plus, I saw better bench play. Malik Allen is an upgrade times ten over guys that should not even be allowed to wear a NBA uniform like Michael Ruffin. There was some signs last night that Michael Redd might actually share the ball with his teammates. There was also some signs that his teammates will be able to create for him. The last thing you want is Michael Redd constantly dribbling and killing a possession. He needs to work without the ball and have his teammates find him for the open look.
Still, this team showed us more of the same by only playing well in spurts. More of the same in getting killed on the stat sheet and on the scoreboard. That is why the marketing gurus should have gone with the Milwaukee Bucks, More of the Same as this year's slogan. Then again, that violates every marketing principle when more of the same means more losing.
