I apologize. I'm truly sorry. I have never wanted to be more wrong in my life than today. Please me father for I have sinned, I committed the act of being too rational and overreacting. Last Monday, I put down on paper the Crew would be dropped 3-1 by Philadelphia. Few days later I said the Phillies were flat out a better team and would easily sweep the Brewers under the rug. Needless to say, I made some people upset.

Could you blame me? I just thought the odds were in the Phillies favor. Philly can score runs despite their big bats taking a nap. The Phillies do not swing the bats like they have a 9pm reservation at Maders. Most importantly, Philly has Cole Hamels, who I think is a silent partner of Mark Attanasio with the way Hamels has owned this lineup. So that is why I said all those nasty things.

Well, I ask lightning strike me for such blasphemy. I want to be wrong. I need to be wrong! The Brewers finally looked like a team that is worthy of more October success with yesterday's 4-1 win. The lineup did a complete 180 by staying disciplined and manufacturing runs. The bullpen has been better than finding a diamond on the street. All the things a team needs to go deep into the postseason. So please Jeff Suppan make me more wrong than a criminal. I'll gladly admit I was wrong if the Crew can send this back to Philly and go beyond. Right now, I think all my ex-girlfriends' jaws just dropped to the floor with that statement.
