That is what I am calling the 2008 Packers' season. The Pack could be in store for a good year but it could also be in store for a downer. 10-6 could be in the cards and 6-10 could be dealt just as well. I just believe there is just too many unknowns on this team.
Can the offensive line gell and stay healthy to give Aaron Rodgers the protection he needs to be successful? Can the defensive line generate enough of a pass rush to prevent Al Harris and Charles Woodson from being stuck out on an island (because we all saw how that worked out in the NFC Championship Game)? Speaking of Harris and Woodson, will they get old real quick? Remember, the clock can run out just like that on veterans. Is Ryan Grant more than just an eight week wonder? Will A.J. Hawk's chest injury hamper him through most of the year. Will Johnny Jolly be in prison before the season is over? The most important question of all is can Rodgers hack it?
The certainties are that the wide receivers should provide plenty of highlight plays. Brandon Jackson should be immensely improved to the point that Mike McCarthy might actually call more than 20 run plays a game. Aaron Kampman should be good for ten sacks. Ryan Pickett should bolster the run defense enough to mask that preseason performance we saw when he was not in the lineup. This team is still very, very talented. With a tougher schedule and the occasion growing pain game Rodgers will play, expect 10-6 if this team can remain healthy. It could be 6-10 if they become the walking wounded.
