The University of Minnesota has apologized for its Gopher mascot after Goldie was caught on videotape mocking a Penn State player praying. The university says Goldie will be more religiously sensititve. What do you think? Did Goldie go too far?
There is absolutely no need to apologize. Just as JimK said:
"[The] entire incident could have been avoided if the player had said his prayer privately in the locker room before the game. Prayer should not be about putting on a show."
Goldie was clearly over the line and I hope he apologizes. My other thought is entire incident could have been avoided if the player had said his prayer privately in the locker room before the game. Prayer should not be about putting on a show.
