Jagler.. Unplugged..

By John Jagler

Had a Circle of Life kind of weekend.  Went to my wife's cousin's wedding Friday.  Was a beautiful service (the kind that makes you guilty for every arguement you ever had with your spouse and great reception.  A long night was followed by another part of the life's cycle.  I got up early Saturday and drove up to Wausau for my uncle Dick Jagler's funeral.  It was as nice as a funeral could be.  Sunday was spent making the lawn tractor do what it wasn't built for... mowing down 3 foot hostas and other garden growth.

Because of all that, I didn't go on facebook.  I didn't tweet .  I didn't blog.  I didn't surf the net.  I could do all of those things in the palm of my hand with my phone.  I've done it in the past.  But there was something going on this weekend that stopped me from doing it.  It's called life.  It was quite liberating.  I spoke to real people.  Laughed with real people.  Cried with real people.   Imagine that.lion king

John, Sounds like you are learning how to enjoy life a bit. Good for you. Of course, the other good news is that the Packers didn't lose this weekend. :0)

Sometimes, you've just got to put down the CrackBerry, get out and experience real life. Quit "cold turkey," as they say.
