Think about this before you boo the next time...

By John Jagler

Story Created: May 15, 2009

Story Updated: May 15, 2009

I admit it... I am an Eric Gagne fan.  Judging by the boos he gets from the home fans, I may be the only one left.  I fully admit you paid your hard earned money and have a right to boo.  But it doesn't make it right and it certainly doesn't mean you have class.  Wanted to pass this note along... it came from John Cary at the MACC fund.  Gagne just donated $50,000 to the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer. eric gagne It's the single largest donation in the organization's 32-year history.  From the MACC fund news release:  In addition to his donation to the MACC Fund, Eric Gagne has helped with other local causes including a recent gift of $20,000 to the Milwaukee County Parks Department to help repair ball fields damaged by summer floods and $10,000 to Koos for Kids Foundation in Racine which helps terminally ill and disadvantaged children.  Gagne also teamed up with Foley & Lardner Law Firm in the “K’s for a Cause” initiative, making a donation for every strikeout at a 2008 home game and he regularly donates funds for youth baseball in his native Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Go ahead and boo.. i'm going to wear my Gagne on Jersey Friday.
