If the Plant Doctor says it, it must be true...

By John Jagler

The Plant Dr. Melinda MyersAfter the wettest June on record, July was dry.  That means your lawn is yellow right?  What to do, what to do?  We talked with the Plant Doctor, Melinda Myers, who tells us to do what we do best.  Nothing.  A dry July is a lazy man's dream.  It's okay to let that lawn go yellow.  Let it go dormant... she'll bounce back.  The question is to sprinkle or not to sprinkle?  Myers says either or is fine, but it's important to know that if you are going to water your lawn, you need to do it right.  Water in the early morning and once you start, don't stop.  She's smart, she's good looking and she's telling me that it's okay to be lazy.  Thank You Plant Doctor!  You can listen to our conversation on WMN right here.   By the way, Melinda has a bunch of appearences coming up at the State Fair.  You can find out more on her website here.
