Steven Spingola is a retired Homicide Detective with the Milwaukee Police Department. He's also an extremely well respected member of the law enforcement community, both locally and nationally.
Last summer, Spingola authored an e-magazine article entitled "The Killer in Our Midst: the Case of Milwaukee's North Side Strangler". The profile of the serial killer posited by Spingola is strikingly close to the background of suspected serial killer Walter Ellis.
I had the opportunity to speak with Steven on my radio program this afternoon. During our conversation, we discussed a number of issues - including why it took authorities so long to catch the killer.
