The Dream Delayed

Images1 The stars were aligned, the stage was set. On the very anniversary of one of the greatest speeches of the 20th century, and what could arguably be called the realization of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech, Barack Obama squandered a once in a lifetime opportunity to link his accomplishments to Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision.

Visually, it was the dream realized. America's first American of Kenyan descent, the presidential nominee for a major political party.  Sadly, audibly, it was a reoccurring Democrat nightmare filled with tired liberal clichés and empty promises.

If Obama would have linked this historic accomplishment to Dr. King’s vision...
