Under the headline: "Oprah pays a real cost for supporting Barack", the LA Times is reporting that Oprah's support of Obama has not played well with her once loyal fan base.

Can anyone say Reverend Jeremiah Wright? Or, throw grandma under the bus! Or, "stop climbing the tree like monkeys?"

Oprah put all of her considerable weight behind the Chocolate Jesus and the reality is that every racial mis-step that Obama makes is going to reflect poorly on "The Oprah." She is already feeling the pain as her favorable ratings have fallen from a high of 78% to a low last week of 55%.

Ouch!

Looks like her ex-fans get it. How can a woman who was smart enough to avoid the Reverend "ranting" Wright's fascism on Sundays (Oprah used to attend Wright's church but moved on once he opened his mouth) campaign for a politician who chose to sit through the rant for two decades?
