If They Build Them, Will You Know What To Do With Them?

By Gene Mueller

They're popping up like crab grass--roundabouts are starting to dot  Wisconsin, and not everyone is thrilled.

I like them, and think they work great.    I've blogged about the one at 116th Street and Grange in Hales Corners did to reduce the high number of accidents at that intersection.

That said, some long-time drivers are clueless about how to negotiate a roundabout--just watch the hijinks at the multi-lane affair along Moorland Road near the Ridge Theater when you have an hour to waste.

The State of Wisconsin hears you--the Journal/Sentinel has a story about Madison's info bliltz on roundabouts, and offers up a link where you can learn from others.

They aren't going away, folks.     There will only be more.      They work, too.       Embrace the change.
