Resides: Milwaukee
Joined WTMJ: 2001
The youngest of Newsradio 620 WTMJ's hosts, Dan is a lifelong Milwaukeean who grew up listening to "The Biggest Stick in the State" and never imagined it would give him his first paid radio gig. Well, actually two gigs - he has also worked as a DJ for TMJ's sister station 94.5 WKTI, playing the biggest hits of the 80s, 90s, and today for about five years. In fact, thanks to KTI, he's had "Jessie's Girl" stuck in his head since February of 2003.
Now, though, he's all about news. And sports talk. And movies and entertainment. Oh, and politics. When he's not reporting the news, hosting Wisconsin Sports Weekend with The Falcon, reviewing movies or producing feature stories for Wisconsin's Morning News, or doing random comedy bits on the Green House, Dan keeps himself busy as a PA announcer for his alma mater, Marquette University. As you might guess, he doesn't get a whole lot of sleep!
And he's getting even less sleep (but a whole lot more love) since he and longtime girlfriend Megan welcomed little Nicholas Robert O'Donnell into the world on September 13th, 2007.
Dan is also an honors graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School and has been a licensed (but thankfully non-practicing) attorney since 2006. Feel free to send him your best lawyer jokes at dodonnell@620wtmj.com.
