Position: Host, Wisconsin's Weekend Morning News - Sunday
Joined WTMJ: 2004
Dick was born and raised in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He got his start in radio at the first high school station in the state, Sheboygan North's WSHS-FM. (WSHS also gave us Gene Mueller of 94.5 WKTI's "Reitman and Mueller.")
"Thank goodness I took French," Dick says, "because the French teacher doubled as the radio sponsor and that's how I got in to the station."
Dick graduated from UW-Madison with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and started his professional radio career at KFIZ in Fond du Lac. After a stint in La Crosse at WIZM Radio, Dick moved to Milwaukee and landed some part-time positions at WISN, WMKE, and WFMR before accepting a full-time gig at WEMP in 1982. Stints at WISN, WLTQ, WZTR and WEZW followed. He also had a sales career before heading to Radio City and WTMJ in May 2004.
In his free time, Dick enjoys movies, TV and music. He and his wife Debbie have three children, four grandchildren, two dogs, and a granddog.
