Nick Iannelli was born and raised in Milwaukee. He has traveled to many major cities throughout the United States but believes nothing compares to the unique atmosphere one sees walking along the lakefront or down the city streets right here in this corner of Wisconsin.
Nick started as a film major at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee but later gravitated toward journalism when he was 20-years-old. That is also when he got an internship in the sales department at Newsradio 620 WTMJ.
Nick had a good time helping promote the station at events like Summerfest and the Wisconsin State Fair but he always wanted to try to get his foot in the door with the on-air side of the business - so he eventually convinced programming management to allow him to record a demo tape in one of the station's studios. Nick let his managers hear the tape, fully expecting to be kicked out. The managers put him on the air instead.
Nick started on weekend overnights. He eventually graduated to weekends and now the afternoon/evening shift.
Currently Nick has a BS degree in Broadcast Journalism from UWM and is working weekdays every afternoon and evening at WTMJ, anchoring news casts and recording stories.
What better way to spend your workdays than doing something you enjoy in a city you love at a station as prestigious as Newsradio 620 WTMJ.
