Why Favre will Fall in Lambeau

By Dan O'Donnell

FOX Sports columnist Adam Schein predicts that Brett is in for a long afternoon Sunday.  One of his nine reasons?  Favre himself:

  • The pressure is solely on Favre. He will get booed in the stadium where he used to be a star and a legend. I think he has no idea what is in store. And I think it is going to get ugly with the sight of Favre wearing the enemy's colors and with Green Bay getting a chance to cut into Minnesota's division lead.

What say you, Packers fans?  Will Brett get buried or will he beat our beloved Pack again?  My money's on the former, since every single player, coach, and team executive in Green Bay has one thing on their mind this week--showing up their former quarterback.  Don't believe a word when they say in the media that they're not focusing on one player.  They're keyed up and looking to show him up in their house.  It'll be close, but I think the Packers win it.

Damn I hate when I am Wrong ( saying All Day would have 150 yards and 3 TDs) I didn't give the BEST QB of all time enough credit with his 4 Tds against a team that KNOWS and has seen every throw he makes.... my bad

The Packers had some pretty easy teams they beat this year considering the Lions only won one game in 2 years , and the Browns had the flu. But when it came to playing a better team they lost. Rodgers has never been in the spot light in a highly profile game like today and I think he will fall under the pressure of the game. Remember Lambeau use to be Bretts house , and he does know how to win in it. No matter what color jersey Brett is wearing I,ll always be a fan. Vikings 31....Packers 20....

To say that the Pack would not have been a championship team without #4 is only an opinion. It seems that we had some excellent back-up QB's that went on to be very successful.

Don't forget Green Bay fans... it was Favre who brought the team back, it was Favre who gave it his ALL for 16 years so you could have a team to be proud of. Don't forget it was Favre who wanted to play in Green Bay... it WAS Thompson who did NOT want Favre in Green Bay. If you People Boo Favre you shoud be ASHAMED of yourselves. Give Favre the Respect he deserves in Green Bay and Give him a standing ovation he deserves. If it wasn't for Favre you would have been NOTHING for 16 years.

Favre will hammer the packers like he did the last time. The pack caught up at garbage time last game. The pack will fade after the loss, and ted will be where he belongs after the season, gone. Watch the greatest player in packer history closely in Lambeau, because after Favre wins the SB this year, he will retire for good. I hope he goes into the Hall as a Viking, too. Use TO Be A packer Fan

Chris Lipski, the Queens may win but I take the Packers receivers and corners over yours. Harvin may turn into some special but he's years behind Jennings and/or driver. Give Rodgers time (I know he will be on his back more often than throwing TD's) and he will throw TD's against your shaking secondary. I hope Favre stays healthy but hoping he throws three picks and loses.

I think that Favre is so vain and he has no idea that he is going to be booed out of Lambeau. He will be so rattled by all the booing that it will be a Favre choke fest. The beginning of the end for Favre with the Vi-Queens just like the second half of his stay with the Jets.

Ok Chris, lets check out who the Queens beat so far this year. Browns, Lions, Rams...ahhhh ok. So right there it shows that Viking fans just don't get it. Then add they should have lost to the Ravens and the 49ers and I see something that you don't. A team that can be beat... but keep talking like the rest of you fair weather fans love to do. Enjoy your franchise when you can't get a stadium and the ship moves to LA. Go Pack! What team wins the div and can't sell out a playoff game...

It's funny to see the packer fans so confident about beating what is a clearly better team. The packers won three games against the Culpeper lead lions, the atrociously bad rams, and the swine flu ravaged Browns. The vikings are better at every position, and Favre is thirsty for vengeance. Seems like packer fans are putting a lot of stock in that 'lambeau mistique.' I'll be there with a vikings favre jersey watching the greatest NFL player of all time cut his former teams hearts out.

Sweeper City, you write "All Day takes the lead (Rock) and runs through/over/by the hapless and stunned Packers defense to the tune of 165 yards and 3 TD". Keep dreaming. Over confidence has always been the curse of Viking fans and this week will prove no different. Get ready for a rude awakening as your team's slide hits 2 weeks this Sunday. GB wins 31-20.

Minn/GB II.... Favre won't have to do it this time. All Day takes the lead (Rock) and runs through/over/by the hapless and stunned Packers defense to the tune of 165 yards and 3 TD and a convincing victory '37-23' with most of the Packers scoring coming late like the 1st meeting

Well, Chuck, I'm sorry to say that Capers will not be blitzing like crazy, unless he dramatically changes his gameplan before Sunday. He has said that he won't bring a lot of extra pressure. The Vikings are still the better team at the moment. But does that mean they will win for sure? Absolutely not, but vikes have looked much better as a whole when comparing the teams. And given the fact that they pretty much dominated at the Dome, leads me to believe that vikes will win by 10. 27-17.

I think the Packers win for several reasons. Most glaring, is that really if you look at a couple of lucky breaks the Queens had, they would have a worse record then the Packers. Plus, the refs can't be so one sided this time. Capers will blitz like crazy and Brett may play his last game at Lambeau
