George, thanx for the link. It clearly demonstrates the passion of the man as opposed to truly "living dead" Republicans like Oly Snowe, Bumlay Sue Collins, Davey Brooks, and my personal favorite, Katie Parker. Even in death, he inspires.

You betcha I should be person of the year. The Palins are average Amercians. Me and ex first dude are both unemployed. Like you, we live in a $1.3 mil house on a private lake, current undergoing rehab to build Todd a workshop for his snow machines and plane, just like your hubby. Like most you, I mostly talk about things I know nothing about. I just hope that Charlie frames my Time cover and everyday gazing lovingly at me, like that cute Sean over on Fox, the only real American news station

My nomination for "Person(s) of the Year" is "Middle Class America". We have never received the accolades that we deserve. For so long, we have carried on our backs the very essence of what America stands for. Work hard, pay your taxes and reap the benefits that come along with your efforts. Middle Class America needs to be recognized NOW. We are on the endangered list. Washington, D.C. intends to tax us into extinction. The rich and the poor will thrive with no one left in the middle.

It can only be Barrack H Obama - A person becomes head of a government, manufacturing, financial, and banking enterprises without any kind of real world work or business experience. Not even so much as bagging a sack of groceries or washing a dish. All this while reducing the greatest economic system in world history to the level of a banana republic and elevating the concepts of pandering and a free lunch to an art form.

It has to be Sarah Palin. This blog and others have pretty much acclaimed her as the Person of the Century let alone the year. She is the most qualified to be President, she has blog, she had help writing a book, she is a quitter, a mother, knows where part of Russia is, great smile, seems to always wear red, is coorinated, doesn't like liberals, and now appears may not like son in law, makes conservaives weak in their knees even when she makes no sense, is good at whining. Has to be her.

It will probably be Obama, the Messianic leader who does not lead, but my choice is Sarah Palin who knows the heart of the American people and who is honest, forthright, truthful, and engaging. The Left is making a mistake to dismiss her because she is in touch with the common folk who make up most of America.

Guantanamo Bay. Time's criteria is for the person or topic that has had the most news impact in the last year. Guantanamo has been the underlying topic from closing it to the release of enemy combatants to where we are going to move all the prisoners. Second would be KSM who is going on trial in NY after pleading guilty in a Military court.

Glenn Beck. While the idea of TEA parties did not begin with him, he did begin the 9/12 project which centralized those efforts and led to the largest TEA party rally in DC on 9/12. He continually uses audio and video of Obama and people in his administration to point out their radical views. After Sarah Palin, Beck seems to be getting the brunt of hate from the left which tells me that he has a major effect on liberals/progressives and for that I nominate Glenn Beck person of the year.

Rick Santelli. He not only suggested Tea Parties in his eloquent off the cuff "rant" or I would say impassioned plea he gave voice to the truely disenfranchised. He gave voice to those who carry the water in this country, not those who drink it. He said without fear what every Convservative Republican would not effectively communicate and what RINO could not communicate because they don't underestand. He gave birth to the opposition - he gave it a mission and a articulated its values.

It's a dangerous move, but I will go with Brett Favre. Why? Well, I'm a bit sick of all the political hacks, and it's hard to tell Barack and Harry and Nancy apart these days. Brett is 40 years old, and playing one of the best seasons of his career. He is a leading MVP candidate and has been leading his team to what might, just might, be a Super Bowl ring. Love him, hate him, or love to hate him, he has certainly made lots of news in Wisconsin this year.
