WERE THEY MURDERED, OR NOT?

By Charlie Sykes

Must watch. Lawyer for Al Qaeda terrorists won't say whether Americans were murdered on 9/11.

Anon, your latest point is really too stupid to argue with (as usual), but I'll basically repeat Walt's point - we don't question the Supreme Court's legitimate role in "interpreting " the Constitution - we are just saying that sometimes the SC makes stupid interpretations, such as on slavery, abortion, and segregation ("separate but equal" was once OK too, according to the SC). That case you cited was stupidly interpreted, and a new SC should repeal it.

Walt--Unfortunately, as usual, you are wrong. Since the early 19th Century, this country has functioned on the principle that judges interpret and give meaning to the constitution. You're refusal to accept this principle which is almost as old as the country itself, shows what an unpatriotic boob you are.

Well! I guess the reason you are arguing with yourself is because of your low self esteem and inability to make decisions so by arguing with yourself that is the only way you can get someone to talk to you. By taking both sides of an issue you get people from both sides of that issue posting to your comments. The problem is no on either side of that issue respects what you have to say, because you are so afraid to identify yourself by a common name.

Boy are you a moron, Boumediene v. Bush was not a right set down in our U.S. Constitution it was a judgment by our supreme court, just like the “right” to have an abortion was a court decision or the even further back the “right” to own slaves. These were all bad INTERPRETATIONS of the Constitution by liberal judges or our supreme court. Just because a judge rules something doesn’t mean it is Constitutional.

That is where you are wrong and why you can’t understand my posts. He does NOT have a “right to say what he wants” in our courts. THAT RIGHT is reserved for legal American citizens; this fact has always escaped liberals. This terrorist was captured on the battlefield and has not earned the rights reserved for American citizens under our own Constitution. You have heard of the American Constitution, haven’t you????

Boumediene v. Bush was one is a long list of overreaching BS decision of the USSC. Clearly Kennedy wanted to still get invited to all the posh cocktail parties in DC. The other four in the majority are truly hopeless. Thank God one of this morons has retired. It's unfortunate he was replaced by a bigger moron. I guess in the future we should just shoot them all dead on a battlefield else they get constitutional rights.

I realize the redundancy of that comment but when talking about liberals, or to them, you almost have to be redundant to make them understand. When I was a very young child my mom used to use simple words repetitively to try and make her point. When dealing with the simple mind of today’s average day liberal I sometimes need to use that same technique.

Well, Jordan's language is a bit harsh, but I essentially agree with him. I have no sympathy for anybody who's unemployed, been "furloughed,", etc. who voted for The Obamanation and the rest of DEM BUMS. I lost a couple of friends during the last election because they didn't want to hear my warnings about this Socialist/Fascist charlatan (Obama) who is responsible for this upcoming stage-show for Al-Qaeda. I wanted to continue the dialog, but my "friends" too were mesmerized by BO to listen.

He's right, everyone deserves a defense. But every defense doesn't lead to an acquittal. Also, being a lawyer doesn't mean you can't acknowledge that 9/11 involved the MURDER of civilians. You can have this opinion without implicating your client. Get the conspiracy theorists out, apparently these innocent people weren't murdered by Muslim extremist terrorists -- they were murdered by their own evil government. Give me a break.

Isn't it interesting how liberals will bend over backwards to make sure terrorists "rights" are protected, and that they are given free Korans while in prison, as well as their religion-specific meals? They wring their hands worrying about the comforts of those who want to kill us all, yet are terrified of....Sarah Palin? They will do anything they can to destroy her, yet see nothing wrong with defending those who want to murder us all! Only in "liberal world" does that make sense.
