HOW MUCH WOULD OBAMACARE COST YOU?

By Charlie Sykes

Here's something Washington really doesn't want you to know.

And apparently, it's also something the Journal Sentinel doesn't think you need to know, since as of now it hasn't written about it.

But by popular demand, here is the link the Wellpoint/Blue Cross Blue Shield study of what Obamacare would do to health insurance premiums in Wisconsin.

Yep, its true. They dont word it quite that way. They are starting by forcing those who have no coverage to buy the public option. So those who loose coverage through an employer either through budget cuts or layoff will then imediatly be put on the public option, and so on until we are all on it.

I've also heard/read that it's in Pelosi's Bill that no one may purchase Private Health Care after 2013. I haven't read the bill, but no one has responded to say that's not true. Sensenbrener's office could probably give you the section number. He's a very reliable person - he wouldn't make such a statement if it was bogus (as you kids say). I've heard it from other sources than Sensenbrenner too - sorry I haven't had time to read the 1900 page bill yet

Yeah, and the liberal, socialist, atheist, (see Jordan at 3:35 AM for additional epithets)Pelosi Congress is going to suck the life blood out conservative brains beginning precisely at 12:01 AM 1/1/2013. Where do you conservatives get this crap? Do you really just sit around and make stuff up? What section of "the bill" do you claim will make it illegal to sell private insurance. Seriously. Is this just another fraudulent "death panel" claim? What section do you claim makes it illegal?

All new private insurance company policies illegal after 2013: Sensenbrenner affirmed what we have all heard, but the president, senate, and house leaders have denied: The bill does make it illegal for anyone to sell private insurance after [ObamaCare] takes effect on Jan. 1, 2013!

Ummmm, did any of you conservative ditto heads actually read the Wellpoint analysis? Costs will go DOWN for some, up for others. The biggest increase is young single males, notoriously poor insurance buyers and high (PUBLICLY/charity funded) emergency room users. AND 50% of that increase (in Wisconsin) is BECAUSE of eliminating the pre-existing conditions loophole and assuming there WON'T be a coverage mandate. And ANOTHER 74% of the "increase" is because coverage is better!!! Read it.

I'll restate my point. The military is a wholy run subsidiary of the US gov't, so of course there is a bureacracy (the pentagon) and therefore waste. The non-bureaucratic arm however is the wickedest, baddest a$$, well-run military in the history of the world. Why? Because the US military is voluntary and literlly no liberals (ok, maybe a few) join it. Hence it is well run and dominant. At this point I told Bill to come up with another stupid argument and I think I was sent to the censors..

Bill is correct. The US military is a gov't run program. And do you know why it is the only successful gov't run program? Because it is run by Republicans.

Yes William Einstein, it is. And like every wholy run subdidiary of the US gov't there is a bureacracy (ie, Pentagon) and therefore there is waste. But the non-bureacratic arm of the military is the baddest ass in the world, and there is no close second. Ya see, ours is a volunteer military; and lo and behold, virtually no liberals join it. Hence, it is the most awesome and well run military force in the history of the world... Now go come up with some other stupid argument..

Under the gov. insurance plan, a single person earning $44,000 will pay $7,300 annually. A family of four making $102,000 will pay $20,500 each year in premiums and out of pocket costs. These are the current projected numbers based on the requirements in the Pelosi bill.

Healthcare reform is now only a change in health insurance; where did we forget to look at changes in the real health care debate. Hospitals and clinics are laughing all the way to the bank. Please, what is the problem and fix it but do not change the whole system. What a mess this discussion is...every other business is making their processes run better to reduce costs. A new healthcare "insurance" process has too much risk and too much cost. What other business would make this choice.

So our health insurance will go up by 120 percent (provided our employer doesn't dump us), the cost of everything we use will go up due to cap & trade, eventually our utility rates will "necessarily skyrocket" -- do we then get to go on the dole and get the nebulous 'someone else' to pay for it all?

Government-run health care will be different from other government programs. It will be economical, efficient, and high in quality. I think this is because our government is more competent and caring than the evil profiteers to whom we now entrust our health.
