Planned Parenthood has been a part of Abby Johnson's life for the past eight years; that is until last month, when Abby resigned. Johnson said she realized she wanted to leave, after watching an ultrasound of an abortion procedure. "I just thought I can't do this anymore, and it was just like a flash that hit me and I thought that's it," said Jonhson.
She handed in her resignation October 6. Johnson worked as the Bryan Planned Parenthood Director for two years. According to Johnson, the non-profit was struggling under the weight of a tough economy, and changing it's business model from one that pushed prevention, to one that focused on abortion. "It seemed like maybe that's not what a lot of people were believing any more because that's not where the money was. The money wasn't in family planning, the money wasn't in prevention, the money was in abortion and so I had a problem with that," said Johnson. Johnson said she was told to bring in more women who wanted abortions, something the Episcopalian church goer recently became convicted about. "I feel so pure in heart (since leaving). I don't have this guilt, I don't have this burden on me anymore that's how I know this conversion was a spiritual conversion." |

When we have gov't leaders of Pelosi, Biden, Kerry, Wisc. Governor Doyle, the Kennedy's ,etc. - so-called Catholics who openly support abortion rights, this country, which stands for the right to life and liberty is in deep peril. The Catholic church should go beyond denouncing abortion and should hand out some excommunications to such individuals. I pray to God that souls and leaders in Gov't will wake up; the Church could regain it's moral authority if they would respond to this abomination

I've already referred people to this story via Drudgereport/Breitbart, but I'll also forward this - yes, ultrasounds are "killing" the Pro-abortion murder industry - not to reduce such a moral question to a polling issue, but 51% of Americans now say they're Pro-Life - and everyone said?... Amen!

What I think drives those liberals nuts about the conservative movement to limit, if not ban abortion, is that it flys in the face of the "life for today, and don't worry about tomorrow" mentality they have. I guess that's why liberals hate conservatives so much. We break them out of the 5yo utopia they keep trying to live in.

Great for that woman's change of heart. More women who were taught that feminisn means the right to kill your baby, have rejected this philosophy. Young people just don't buy this feminist view that children who are unwanted should be destroyed. Many women wake up to the cold fact in their 30's that they want babies and that less are available for adoption because of abortion.That is why Sarah Palin is so popular among women. I can't wait to see her on Friday. Remember, peace begins in the womb.

I agree abortions may never go away but that doesn’t mean the government has to pay for it, Planned Parenthood is a typical liberal “public service” organization that gets government money to pay for “woman’s rights” issues; in reality they are defining morality down. Making abortions legal is the real cause of increased pregnancies giving young mothers (and fathers) a legal way out if a baby gets in the way. In my day the family stayed together as the girl stayed home, (or went to grandmas).

If abortions are outlawed, anyone having an abortion should be charged with murder. Just as any parent who kills their child from the age of 1 second through 18 years of age should be charged with murder.

Many pro-lifers feel that the mothers are just as much victims as their babies. Some 64% of women report being forced or coerced into having an abortion - we wouldn't jail them if they were forced to rob a bank, or murder someone else, would we? Slavery was once the law of the land, should we have just shrugged our shoulders and said, "Meh, slavery will always be here, so why bother fighting a war over it"? This is the reason NARAL describes the ultrasound as a "weapon" - it kills abortion.

I don't agree with abortion but it will never go away. Name a time in history where abortions weren't performed. If you truly thought abortion was murder, why are you not advocating for the mother to be tried and sentenced in the court of law as a murderer? What should the mothers punishment be for aborting her baby?

I am convinced that the more neonatal technology advances, the less influential the abortion movement will be. At what point do the rest of these people wake up and see what they are doing? Religion has nothing to do with it, the pictures say it all.
