The Pelosi bill contains laws which require everyone who currently has private insurance through their employer to switch to the government insurance within five years. If you don't switch, you have to pay $750 per month in fines in addition to your private insurance premium. People with private insurance outside of work have to switch as soon as there is a change in their deductible or premium.

The way to let our voices be heard is to CALL our representatives and senators EVERY DAY until the vote and tell them that we strongly oppose this bill. Look up the capitol switchboard number online. Just ask for the office you want. Also, give your congressmen specific reasons that you oppose this junk. Examples: national health care records accessible by the government, public funding for abortion, penalties for doctors who order too many tests for you, etc. Keep their offices busy all week.

While this is a great speech, it wont be seen by enough people. It also lacks any info to the listeners how to go about and voice their opinion. My favorite part is where he states that it isnt about party because I feel that is the change most people voted for. Of course that is not what they got.
