BEST READ: THE WORST BILL EVAH?By Charlie SykesHow awful is NancyCare? The Wall Street Journal says it may just be the worst bill ever. Speaker Nancy Pelosi has reportedly told fellow Democrats that she's prepared to lose seats in 2010 if that's what it takes to pass ObamaCare, and little wonder. The health bill she unwrapped last Thursday, which President Obama hailed as a "critical milestone," may well be the worst piece of post-New Deal legislation ever introduced. In a rational political world, this 1,990-page runaway train would have been derailed months ago. With spending and debt already at record peacetime levels, the bill creates a new and probably unrepealable middle-class entitlement that is designed to expand over time. Taxes will need to rise precipitously, even as ObamaCare so dramatically expands government control of health care that eventually all medicine will be rationed via politics. |

I understand your frustration. Did you call their local offices or the D.C. ones? I've always gotten a real person at the D.C. offices. Call & tell them whose office you'd like to talk to. As far as elections, I really hope we can make it that long. We should try recalls against everyone who isn't doing their job which is to act on OUR behalf based on what WE tell them. Maybe then they'd start to take us seriously. First we need a candidate against Feingold.

And, yes, Pelosi's Bill is the WORST BILL EVER! Paid Abortions are back in the Bill, for one thing, besides everything else...

@KT - unfortunately, I've emailed Baldwin, Kohl, Feingold repeatedly, and all I get back are references to go back to their websites (Never got a response from Kohl, ever) - if you call their offices, all you get are message machines. The only thing that matters is voting - they aren't "representative" of me - let's, please, kick them out next year! (I know Kohl isn't up for re-election, LIBS)

It's only ok for the politicians to be rich & have private health care insurance. If anyone else had those things, what would the government "provide" for us? This Obamacare junk has NOTHING to do with helping anyone. It has EVERYTHING to do with taking control of people's lives. Most liberals know full well how bad this Pelosi bill is. But whether they're out to take away our health care choices, or they're just stupid, we need to call their offices every day this week against this bill.

No offense to you! I was speaking of the multi-millionaire musical-type folk. You know, like the ones who rasied funds for Odumbo.

You can bet Rep. Pelosi made sure plastic surgery was going to be covered in the House Bill.

I find it extremely hypocritical that these RICH politicians don't want us to be rich like them. If they really wanted to help the "little people", they could divest themselves of their own wealth first. That goes for all the bleeding heart actors and musical-type folk, too.

With the NeoCom Statists you can’t put it past them that someone rich, like Soros, could be making huge payments to pols, who are willing to sacrifice their careers, in order for the NeoComs to take over control and the country forever.

BV, you wrote: "Cause it's evil to want to be rich I guess." At this point and time, considering everything, I'm thinking it's evil to want to be financially secure. Considering everything coming down the pike, it almost appears those who hold a majority in the House, Senate, and White House simply want to give to those who are 'less fortunate'- and if you're not 'less fortunate', you must become one. -- Steve M.

I think it goes beyond trying to help people get healthcare. They actually believe they are "saving" us from something.... What I don't know.... From becoming financiallly stable? Cause it's evil to want to be rich I guess.

I read this early this morning, and it was good, until they mentioned that this is a peacetime administration. It is?

Maybe Pelosi should look for what the people want instead of herself.
