Oh Walt. I cannot attest to the organizations you volunteer for, but I do not think it is fair to say people are taking advantage of the free clincs if they are in good financial shape. Isn't that the argument that many people have concerning the public option? I've heard them argue, "if we can afford better care, why should we be forced to accept a government-run option?" Why on earth would these "wealthy" people wait in the long lines when they could use their own insurance?

It is funny. I have a health care plan that I do like. I am taking my children to a free clinic tonight, because my childrens' doctor told us they probably will not receive any doses of the H1N1 virus vaccination for another 2-3 weeks. By most reports, the virus will be here before those vaccinations will do any good. To echo the title "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, I BRING YOU GOVERNMENT HEALTH CARE."

So that BO can pander to his voting base, we are going to destroy our economy, put ourselves out of work. But we will have “free” healthcare and PLENTY of time to stand in line.

PLEASE, don’t insult our intelligence. I volunteer for various organizations and I know this sad truth, if you give something away there will ALWAYS be someone there willing to take it, whether they need it or not. I have seen “the poor” standing in line for food stamps and other STUFF wearing excessive jewelry, costly hair styles (dreadlocks), with waiting cabs and talking on a camera phones. How long would this line be if the government hadn’t scared them all to death about the swine flu?

Ladies and Gentlemen, I bring you those without health care. You know, the people forced to wait in long lines at free health clinics for basic services.
