MIKE TATE, REAL POLITICAL GENIUSBy Charlie SykesMike Tate is the 30-going-on12-year-old chairman of the state Democratic Party. Just in case you missed it, this is what he said about Saturday's huge tea party protest on Milwaukee's lakefront: "These are extremist elements pulling together, distinct vocal minorities that frankly don't believe in this country," Tate said. "They don't want to see more people have access to quality affordable health care; they don't want clean air and water. They fundamentally don't understand how the American government, economy and capitalism work." It is exceedingly rare that the chairman of the political party can insult that many people and display that much bile and cluelessness in a single paragraph. Mike Tate, Real Man of Political Genius, we salute you! |
