Just in case you missed it, this is what he said about Saturday's huge tea party protest on Milwaukee's lakefront: "These are extremist elements pulling together, distinct vocal minorities that frankly don't believe in this country," Tate said. "They don't want to see more people have access to quality affordable health care; they don't want clean air and water. They fundamentally don't understand how the American government, economy and capitalism work." It is exceedingly rare that the chairman of the political party can insult that many people and display that much bile and cluelessness in a single paragraph. I was impressed @ the rally how average/normal we all were. I was also impressed in the speakers. I'm not sure but I believe that there were as many minority speakers as white. The only extremist elements that I have seen pull together are Obama's cabinet, his "czars", his administration, and Obama himself. There are very few mainstream elements in his government and the Tea Parties are a result of that. I wholeheartedly agree it will strengthen the Tea Party movement. I was there on Saturday walking away more determined than before because I finally realized that EVEN IN MILWAUKEE, we were not alone. I was reminded of all the terrible names that liberals are calling this HUGH group of respectful Americans and I just don’t care anymore what they call us. If liberals think the people I saw in that crowd are “racist” “terrorist”, “Anti-American” and “extremist” than I am proud to stand with them.
