Three days in, the president makes clear his policy: continued "dialogue" with their clerical masters. Dialogue with a regime that is breaking heads, shooting demonstrators, expelling journalists, arresting activists...

Actually, I think Obama may want Ahmadinejad to remain in power. Why? Having said that, I think he must be very careful in his response to Iran because we have troops in that part of the world and a strong statement might put them in additional danger. Not to sound too conspiratorially kooky (but here goes!): Is it possible that Mr. Obama's neutrality in Iran is understandable from a reading of his own domestic policies?
