JOHN FUND ON THIS A.M.

By Charlie Sykes

The Wall Steet Journal's John Fund will join me in the 11 a.m. hour to talk about his book "Stealng Elections: How Voter Fraud Threatens Our Democracy."

In Stealing Elections, John Fund takes the reader on a national tour of voter fraud scandals ranging from rural states like Texas and Mississippi to big cities like Philadelphia and Milwaukee. He explores dark episodes such as the way “vote brokers” stole a mayoral election in Miami in 1998 by tampering with 4,700 absentee ballots. He reveals how, in the aftermath of the “Motor Voter Law” of 1993 , Californians used mail-in forms to get absentee ballots for fictitious people and pets. Stealing Elections gives us a chilling portrait of our electoral vulnerability.Writing with urgency and authority, John Fund shows how a lethal combination of bureaucratic bungling and ballot rigging have put our democracy at risk.

How can you tell if republicans are committing vote fraud? Simple. Katie Couric and the CBS Evening News truck will arrive and make it a lead story along with the rest of the main stream media.

Don't tase me Bob is once again failing to properly educate himself. It doesn't matter if its admin errors or fraud. That has absolutely nothing to do with following the law which has prompted VanHollen's lawsuite. Plus, get real. Fraud has been found and you just don't want to open your eyes. The ultimate point is if we don't insure proper voter registration and voter identification how do we know what's fraud and whats just "clerical errors"? Oh, I guess that's your point!

Folks, if we can't get control of our elections, does anything else really matter in the U.S. of A.? We are just THIS close to complete societal breakdown...40% or more of our population believes "the end justifies the means". Good people must stand up and demand voter I.D. or it's game over for freedom.

There is no integrity in the voting process in Wisconsin. Voter ID would fix this but Jim Doyle stands in the polling place door with his veto pen. Doing the DOT cross checks is also a step in the right direction but the Wisconsin Democrat party is standing in that door until after the election when it won't matter. So much for democracy. It really doesn't pay to be honest anymore.

But it's not, Walt. The independent board which is charged with administering election law in Wisconsin says that we are in compliance with the spirit of HAVA and that we should do everything we can going forward to scrub the lists. After Reince and the boys lean hard on JB he comes back to file a lawsuit that will create long lines and discourage voters in what is expected to be a record turnout. Biskupic says there's no fraud. The MPD says it's administrative errors. Trust authority, Walt.

Bob....can you work on getting an original line. AG is forcing the state to follow the law, and yet the Gov says don't worry about it....I am worried, just like you would be if the shoe was on the other foot.

Paperless voting machines? I voted electronically in Wales this last election and although it is electronic, there is still a paper trail printing within the machine to avoid lost ballots if the machine fails. It was easy and fast. AG's trying to make sure laws are being enforced.. Oh the horror!!!!!

Wow Bob, how about Charlie also asks him about a collective Democratic plan to take over Secretary of State offices across the nation so all election actions are controlled by their party. Remember hearing Scot Ross (now of One Wisconsin Now) talk about 'vast election powers of the Secretary of State's office' when he was running for SOS in 2006. Too bad the office was neutered in the 1990s and Ross hadn't figured that out at the time.

Cave with Van Hollen? Are you nuts Bob? I guess less "confusion" at election day is more important to liberals than honest and fair elections. If you really want to focus on confusion maybe consider the incompentence of the State elections board for the root cause of the "confusion" you are so worried about. Just maybe this incompetence is pre-meditated? Why don't Democrats care if illegal votes are cast? I think we all know the answer to that question.

Ask him about the McCain absentee scam, Charlie. Make sure you talk about paperless voting machines. Oh, and make sure to ask him why the Attorneys General of so many states are filing actions to create congestion and confusion at the polls so close to election day. Commit a little journalism, Charlie. Don't cave like you did with van Hollen.
