PIPER PALIN

When I first saw Piper doing this I thought, "how cute, just what a sister who loves her baby brother would do - kind of playing the little mommy, you know the thing most 8 year old sisters love to do." It shows that the whole family adores that precious baby - he is a true gift from God and they all know that. As far as passing him around, they were just keeping him happy, so this is normal. The family was not "paraded" - they were introduced to America via the convention.

OUTRAGE-It's called teamwork & family pulling together. Why isn't the left bashing all the women who serve in our military with families at home? they're gone a lot more & longer than Mrs.Palin will be & in a lot more danger. And what about the Dads vs. Obama/Biden? Sounds sexist to me!

...and Andrew's comment still bothers me several days later. He sounds like some sort of creepy pervert. What a completely asinine post.

For God’s sake, I don’t remember you hypocritical liberal socialist telling us to “WAKE UP!!!! This election is not about cute babies and other foolish nonsense!” when Obama’s daughter looked into that big screen and say “Hello Daddy”. I do remember all the liberal swooning after that scene during your convention, now all of a sudden you want to talk issues, what a moron. I got news for you Conservatives also have cute little kids only, we don’t kill ours.

Libs, get a life! It was a sweet moment - if it demonstrated Palin's "family values", so be it - it certainly wasn't "orchestrated". If it bothered you, something is wrong with you. Do any Libs actually like babies and kids? (Or do they all consider them "punishment", as BO has said?)

WAKE UP!!!! This election is not about cute babies and other foolish nonsense! It's about how we are going to get out of this damned mess that the Bush administration has left us!

Leave it to the innocent ones to show us time and time again what love is...and how to be decent human beings.

Sleeping babies get pretty darn heavy after a while. My kids got passed around like footballs at gatherings when they were babies. But Cindy McCain was priceless, I watched her sit down next to the one daughter (Willow?) holding the baby and she kept hovering. I looked at my husband and told him that Cindy wanted to hold that baby in the worst way - just like most moms with older kids do when around babies. Myself included.

As a person with a baby brother with Downs, you have no idea how incredible of a moment that was. Piper used to be the baby, but now she is the "big sister", and she already knows and understands her role. You, however, will never understand that and that is why today, and for the next 60 days, you will live in fear.

Andrew, nice going, remember when I told you that I have a list of people that I post to (good guys, bad guys and MORONS), and remember after a particularly stupid post you made I told you I was going to have to move you to the MORON column. Well you just left me with a dilemma so I am asking you for your help. This post you made here rates you a brand NEW column so I need you to tell me what is below a moron.

Except, of course, that John-John was playing in his home while these poor kids are just the flavor of the week for Charlie. I thought the idea was to leave the families out of this.

"How can anything about the family be "out of bounds" when they are constantly being paraded and used to sell Palin." Yeah, how shameful bringing your family out on stage at the convention. It's not like BO brought his daughters on stage at any point during the convention. /sarcasm off

Disgusting, you apparently (thankfully..) have never had kids. It is often helpful in those kinds of situations to pass the infant around to help keep them from fussing, crying, etc... Not at all surprised or bothered that he was passed around. Outside of that we (including my diehard democrat wife) thought it was a very cute moment.

Hey, Disgusting, get a grip. And a clue. That cute moment between sister and brother was a great, unscripted, image that every family with kids can relate too. Humanizing, in a 'I've seen that, they're real kids' kind of way. Reminds me of John John peering out of JFK's desk...

How is Palin going to keep her from getting pregnant?

That 5-month old got passed around from Cindy McCain on down to the kids like a sad political prop. How can anything about the family be "out of bounds" when they are constantly being paraded and used to sell Palin. And it's obvious Charlie's faux outrage is just that when you scroll down this blog and ever other piece has a picture of the family. Disgusting.
