When I first saw Piper doing this I thought, "how cute, just what a sister who loves her baby brother would do - kind of playing the little mommy, you know the thing most 8 year old sisters love to do." It shows that the whole family adores that precious baby - he is a true gift from God and they all know that. As far as passing him around, they were just keeping him happy, so this is normal. The family was not "paraded" - they were introduced to America via the convention.

But Cindy McCain was priceless, I watched her sit down next to the one daughter (Willow?) holding the baby and she kept hovering. I looked at my husband and told him that Cindy wanted to hold that baby in the worst way - just like most moms with older kids do when around babies. Myself included.
